How long will it stay like this?

That is the big question!

According to UNAIDS and World Health Organization,

"It will depend on the vigor, scale and effectiveness of prevention, treatment and care programs. Urgent and dramatic headway is required.  Anything less will spell failure."

"Although basic knowledge of HIV/AIDS has increased among young people in recent years, it is still disturbingly low in many countries, especially among young women."

"It is astounding that most countries with widespread epidemics do not yet have extensive programs in place to provide appropriate care to orphans."

  War on AIDs
War on AIDS is a faith-based preventive and care program designed to campaign against HIV/AIDS and the use of illegal drugs.  Care is provided in the form of counseling, and medical assistance to those already infected and affected.

THE PURPOSE of War on AIDS program is to educate and care for children and young adults to grow healthy and live responsible lives.

War on AIDS was launched on May 24 and 25 of 2005 with a huge success to the glory of God.  We visited six secondary schools touching nearly 6,000 students.  When we made a call, the response was overwhelming! Over 3,000 responded positively by praying sinner's prayer, and taking vows of virtue.  It was awesome! . Click ('war_on_aids_rally_2005'); for pictures and report

THE VISION

  1. To educate young people to say 'no' to the use of illegal drugs and illicit sex, and to make healthy choices for living.
  2. To provide care for those already infected with HIV/AIDS in the form of counseling, and medical assistance.

THE PROGRAM GOALS

  • To establish a War on AIDS Center for on going education and care for those already infected and affected.
  • To distribute HIV/AIDS educational literature to the high school students.
  • To visit and share the message of abstinence.
  • To organize a WOA Club for the high school students, a follow-up educational program on HIV/AIDS

Target Area: Benue State, Nigeria.

Benue State in Nigeria has been selected to launch the War on AIDS program because it has the largest number of HIV infections.

In two years, the schools in Benue State will be covered with the message of abstinence and the gospel of Jesus Christ.   Three teams comprising of three persons in each team will be sent  to visit these schools and reach over 3,000 students weekly.

Would you partner with us to reach these students for Christ?

  • A gift of $1.00 will provide education, literature, and encouragement to one student.
